Traduire les phrases suivantes en remplaçant l’expression en italique par une forme verbale comportant le modal approprié :
1. As you all know, students are not allowed to smoke within university buildings. (Comme vous le savez tous, les étudiants ne sont pas autorisés à fumer dans l’enceinte de l’université.)
2. When I was little, it was possible to buy a chocolate bar for 25 cents. (Lorsque j’étais jeune, on pouvait acheter une barre de chocolat pour 25 centimes.)
3. It’s 2 am and the children aren’t home: they are probably having a very good time! (Il est 2 heure du matin et les enfants ne sont pas rentrés : ils sont surement en train de s’amuser !)
4. There were no buses yesterday so I was forced to take a taxi. (Il n’y avait pas de bus hier, alors j’ai été obligé de prendre un taxi.)
5. Perhaps Grandma did not hear the phone ring. (Peut être que Grand-mère n’a pas entendu le téléphone sonner.)
